Study in Our Winter Wonderland
Dubbed the “Powder Capital of the World”, Niseko is a powder hot spot, home to some of the best ski slopes in Asia and the world. It is known as one of the snowiest resorts on the planet, and has been credited as the #1 Ski Resort in Asia. The resort includes a bustling village at its base with lively nightlife and shopping, but is most famous for its highly coveted “champagne powder” – the lightest, fluffiest snow you ever will ride!
Along with your yoga studies, you’ll have plenty of time to take advantage of everything that make Niseko special: the natural hotsprings (or Onsen’s in Japanese), Japan’s world-famous cuisine, and the endless powder days. Japan’s Onsens are recognized for their purifying health benefits, and students are encouraged to use them as often as possible! There are so many to choose from in the local area each with different benefits.
During the course you will call the Yard Yoga studio your home! Your rest days during the course will be flexible, and we will make sure to keep track of the weather, and schedule in your days off whenever there are fresh tracks on offer. There will also be many opportunities to take what you learn in the classroom, and transfer this out it into the world and your daily life in Niseko.

Charlie
ritual founder
I have always been fascinated by the human mind and body. Through my journey to discover more, I found myself in the Himalayas of India studying to become a yoga teacher, and the practice has been an integral part of my life ever since.
Yoga set me on a path of personal discovery, development, and self-healing that has helped me to overcome many challenges in my life. Through my teaching I aim to share that which inspires me in the hope of helping others to on their own journey.
I am an E-RYT 500, Vinyasa-Ashtanga, Yin, Meditation, Breathwork and Yoga Therapy instructor. I have also studied the practice of Ayurveda and holistic massage both in India and Thailand.
My classes combine meditation, breathwork and physical asana, dynamic classes are often sprinkled with a little challenge and lots of fun, while restorative classes are grounding and more meditative.
